Lots of Changes

It has been quite a while since I posted anything on this blog.  There are lots of changes since 2011.  We now have 8 grandchildren with 1 more to arrive in October.  We had two get baptized.  Lisa and Brandon are moving to Nebraska which makes us really sad.  We are happy for them though because they are moving forward with their goals.  I guess we will get to know the road to Nebraska.   Scott and Becky are moving but we are not sure where yet.  Hopefully it won't be too much further away. David and Erica are doing well.  David went to guide school in Montana in April. He is working hard to build up his clients and become a great fly fishing guide.  I guess he is following in the footsteps of his grandpa although he may love fishing even more. Chad and Lauralee are doing well.  Lauralee has lost 191 pounds from 2 years ago.  We are very happy for her.  It was quite an accomplishment.  She also has started college.  Kerry has retired and enjoys every day.  We have gone on lots of camping adventures.  It is still our favorite activity.  Out latest adventure was down to Zions.  We had Lisa and her two kids and David and Erica and Sophie.  It was lots of fun.  The kids sure did love the swimming pool.  We love summer and are looking forward to more adventures.  Bye Bye for now.

Just wishing you...

It about time to update. Since last fall we have moved to a beautiful new house. These pictures were taken last fall before we moved in. We have done some improvements. Like put in a fence and plant some flowers in the flower beds. It has been a busy winter/spring. We took a wonderful vacation in Kauai, Hawaii with Lauralee and her family. We also went to Disneyland in March with Brandon, Lisa, Ryker, Logan and Jonah. I am very upset because those pictures seemed to have disappeared. Therefore I will be unable to post any pictures of Disneyland much to my dismay. Hopefully Lisa will have some she can give me. We are looking forward to lots of great camping this summer if the rain ever stops. Have a great Memorial Day weekend! Until next time.

We have some really beautiful and handsome grandchildren that we love.

It just wouldn't be a trip without a window or a wing view from Kerry.

It's hard to believe it was February!!

Winter Fun

Noah, Logan and Jonah at the circus.

Maples and shadows in North Fork

Kerry and Melanie out on a snowshoe adventure

Kerry and Lisa skiing at Wolf Mountain

The perfect day: skiing in the morning and snowshoeing in the afternoon. The soft crunch of the snow as you walk, the profound quiet of the winter forest, the glint of the sun as it falls behind the Ben Lomond ridge, and the plumes of wind blown snow far up on the cliff tops.

So far this year we have a new granddaughter. Her name is Sophie Rae Stephens. She is very beautiful. We are so happy for David and Erica. I can't believe we have 4 grandchildren that we love so much!!!! I am not able to post any pictures at the moment but if you want a peek at her link to Anita's blog from mine and there she is. We had a wonderful Christmas. I started out the new year with a pretty horrible toothache that quickly turned into a root canal. Not fun, not fun at all!!!!! A special thanks to John by brother-in-law for his skilled hands and medication. I am now on the road to recovery. Also, Lauralee had her gastric bypass surgery and she is doing awesome. So far she has lost 30 pounds and it has only been one week and 2 days. We are so proud of her. This has not been easy. Keep up the good work Lauralee. Kerry and I have both made some resolutions for the new year. I guess I will keep you posted on their success. You will just have to wait and see what they are. One of them is updating the blog more often. Until next time.

It has been a while since our last blog update. I usually try to bribe Lisa to do it for me but she isn't cooperating. Since our last update we have moved to a new house. I don't have pictures of it right now but we sure do love it. Sometimes we almost have to pinch ourselves to make sure it is real. We have had a lot of fun getting everything settled. Our grandsons are growing. Logan is 5 and Jonah is 3 and Ryker is almost 5 months. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first little granddaughter Sophie. It will be so fun to have another new baby around. We are getting ready for Christmas. We had a lot of fun decorating our tree the other night. Logan and Jonah helped us and boy did they have fun. We also took them to see Santa and they both wanted to go outside and look on the roof to see his sleigh and reindeer. Jonah calls the reindeer moose. Here is wishing you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
